I was fortunate to work on the multiplayer map, Garrison, for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War as an Environment Artist. I worked on this map with a fantastic team of other artists and designers, without whom none of this would have been possible.
Art Direction: Jason Louie
Environment Art: Andrew Bangel, Fidel Villa, Rene Saquic, Jason Borda
Design/Finishing: Matt Coutras, Mike Salegui, Clover Greenhalgh, Jaret Illingworth, Bryan Naron, Joseph Vance, Gavin Goslin
Lighting: Jeffery Arnold
Fx: Mike Chub and Brian Shimamoto
Production: Cory Mullen and Kali Wakley
My primary responsibility on this map was to provide training and support to Andrew Bangel who was the Point Environment Artist. I focused on generating heavy reuse assets like metal platform structures and factory building details. I also helped develop some of the global detailing techniques used on the building structures.
I was involved in the photogrammetry trip to scan the building/material assets for this map, as well as handled their processing. Game assets were generated by our Environment Team or by our Outsourcing Teams and placed in the level by everyone involved based on their assignments.
I worked on the maps vista terrain and biome, as well as the vista building unification and arrangement. The factory buildings in the mid vista were built by me, and arranged/grounded in the space by Clover Greenhalgh and Gavin Goslin.
